Call name: Pi

Dam of our 2019 Pi litter

Cause of death - Mammary Gland Cancer.
She was the fourth puppy, and the first female born in a litter of 18, following three males what are the odds of her having a perfect pi symbol on her chest? As a puppy, she swiftly learned the value of her stare, utilizing it to secure a prime position in the bottle feeding line, thereby increasing her chances of a second meal. The litter was the first collaborative effort between Lisa and James Osborne, and Pi was their first Irish Wolfhound puppy. Pi's life was filled with love, accompanying Lisa and James on numerous trips, family outings, and select show ring appearances, including a final veteran appearance in 2022. Although Pi was generally well-behaved, she had one instance of misconduct, attempting to conceal it until discovered. Pi subsequently had a litter of seven puppies with only two weeks' preparation in Sept of 2019. Pi took to raising her litter so easily and so affectionately. So many beautiful loving memories of Pi raising her only litter.

April 2023 Pi was diagnosed with Arterial Fibrillation and in June of 2023 Pi was Diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy DCM with a Murmur. We were told she had 6 months and not likely to live more than a year. Due to Lisa's diligent care Pi lived well beyound the specialist prediction. November 2023 Pi was subsequently diagnosed with Liver cancer and again June of 2024 Pi was diagnosed with Mammary Gland Cancer. Pi was put on additional homeopathic supplements. Despite all efforts to keep Pi comfortable and happy. The mammary cancer was winning the fight over her body. But it wasn't going to take her soul and light. We humanely let her spirit free of her broken body on a beautiful sunny day in August. Pi left peacefully with all the love and honor deserved of a warrior. RIP Sweetheart.

Call name: Sassy

Dam of our 2021 Avatar Litter

Cause of death - Spinal injury or Spinal tumor.

As a puppy of 12 weeks Sassy was returned to us after 5 days in her new home. Returned because she did not have a bubbly personality. She didn't want to play with the children. With that we decided why not? Welcome home sweet girl and we named her Sassy! Did Sassy get a bubbly personality, no. But she adored the Grand kids.

We soon discovered this beautiful Red Brindle like her Sire Franky was a throw back to the old fashion wolfhounds. Extremely coarse short coat, you could count the hairs on her chin and over her brow.

Showing this beauty. All Breed Judges found it hard to reward her as she did not have a look they were accustom to. Coat so tight she looked slick and no furnishings. Specialty Judges usually wolfhound breeders loved her. We did end up finishing Sassy in April of 2018. After 4 yrs of age she did get a little longer coat and more furnishings.

Sassy was endowed with the calmest and softest temperament. She loved her food more than anything. We joked she was on a diet for her entire life. She manage to pass this love of food on to her 4 offspring.

Sassy was the best mother even at the age of 6 yrs. We tried unsuccessfully at breeding her naturally. The sight of the Tasmanian Devil (Diesel) had her break free from experienced owners. After going a couple alternative ways. Last ditch effort as she would soon be too old to safely carry a litter. We did a surgical implant. 2 weeks post whelping Sassy celebrated her 6th birthday loving and cuddling with her babies.

Tail issues plagued Sassy for many years. Follow up visit to the vet in March of 2022, vet informed us that there was extensive nerve damage to her tail. So she had all but 6" removed. Her tail use to touch the ground for a tall girl of 34.5" at the shoulder that was a lot of tail to come off. Picture of Sassy at 5 yrs old.

We thought Sassy was going to be with us another couple years. The day before her decline she was playing with her daughter Sookie. She went off her food which was the first sign of something wrong. The next day off to the Emergency vet as she was refusing to use one rear leg. Nothing but mild arthritis was seen in the xrays. Prescribed pain medicine and seen by her regular vet. Laser therapy seemed to be helping then the bottom fell out. Completely paralyzed in the rear. At nearly 9 years old surgery was not a viable solution.

Sadly, with heavy hearts and lots of tears we gentle sent Sassy to join her siblings Ash, Roo, Thor, Malachi, Kricket in heaven. Until we are reunited sweet heart there is a big emptiness in our lives.

Call name: Sandy

2018 Best in Show Brace Team

Cause of death - gravely ill, proceeded by fever, refusing to eat and lethargic. Just finishing cycle we suspect pyometra

After 11 years and multiple failed attempts, I was finally welcoming Sandy into my life. Even before her mother was born (our import from Germany in 2012). I had already given her a registered name. Sandy could have been hugely successful in the breed ring due to her impressive bone, structure, and beautiful front assembly. However, Sandy had other plans for herself. Sandy gave Lisa a difficult time from the moment they first entered the show ring. We attributed it to puppy energy and lack of experience. HA HA, What we didn't realize then is how much patience it took to handle her stubbornness. Teresa and Sandy earned the final points needed to finish her AKC Championship title at Alexandra, Louisiana, January of 2017.

Around June 2018. Lisa had the bright idea to show Sandy and her sister Bear in Brace Team competition coming up in August at the Little Rock Arkansas show. The three of them trained three times (procrastination on our part) learning to move as one. Wouldn't you know this misfit team, with Sandy's cooperation won it all. We took Best in Show Brace each day of that show. What an honor and joy it brought to our lives. After the August show of 2018 we retired Sandy to a life a leisure well deserved.

Healthy until a couple days prior to letting her go. Sandy had stopped eating and was getting very lethargic. She was gravely ill almost overnight, we knew it was time to say our goodbyes.

Sandy would have been celebrating her 9th birthday in about a month. She was a stunning wheaten, retaining substantial amount of dark gray coat.

Registered as a cream wheaton she was actually a Cream Sable.

I will miss the glow of her coat during our moonlite evening walks. Watching Sandy scanning her surrounds for a chance run in with a couple of playful rabbits to chase. I am so grateful for the time we had and wish we had more time. It never gets any easier saying goodbye. We are heartbroken. We love and miss you my Baby Girl. Rest In Peace. We will be reunited one day.

2018 Best in Show Brace Team

2019 Westminster Kennel Club - Award of Merit

Numerous Placements from Regular and Owner Handler Hound Groups

Cause of death - DIC Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation, while recovering from Emergency Surgery for GVD.

Born just one day after St Patrick's day in 2015 she was one of 18 puppies whelped, 14 surviving. She was our black collared girl. Just days old after feeding with no eyesight or hearing she would find a place to be alone. Away from her littermates it became a ritual serval times a day to find puppy number 14. She would magically disappear and would be snoozing away alone in a corner. When she started to realize she could climb over most any object put in her path. She would insist on being the lone wolf. So we came to realize this escape artist and very independent minded puppy need to be in a home experienced with wolfhounds. That is how she came to be part of our pack and how she was registered as our Magical Charm.

Her name Bear started out as Care Bear, blessed with the sweetest dark brown eyes, heavy eye linner and the cutest nose. Who can resist falling in love with a Care Bear. Ultimately abbreviated to Bear almost everyone thought she was a male. Our response would be "You need female bears, too."

Loosing this magnificent, independent and devoted companion has really devastated us to our core. Bear was never breed so her spirit lives within our memories.

"May the sun warm your face and the wind stay at your back" We will miss you for eternity.

Cause of death - Sever loss of mobility

Beautiful Lucy came to us from Germany, and was the start of many firsts and

one of two Foundation Bitches. Lucy came to us as the most beautiful red

wheaten with the most beautiful dark brown eyes and mascara. Eyes that said

I'm ready for big and happy times.

Soon Lucy was helping Zion Mitchell win in Juniors Competition. Earning

Best of Junior a few times. Lucy as a beautiful curvy wheaten in the show ring

was a stand out.

At home she was the alpha. All took her Que, active and happy to take the lead.

We will miss her love of life, food and energy. We continue to celebrate her life through her beautiful offspring. Never be another Lucy, never stop loving Lucy. We are so blessed to have shared our lives with Lucy. Run free of all earthly bonds Sweet Sweet Lucy

Call name: Wendy

Cause of death: Congestive Heart Failure

Wendy was born shortly after loosing Shay in 2010. She brought so much happiness

and the energy that comes with puppies!

What a beautiful adult Wendy became. Elegant curvy and a very stubborn I want

it my way attitude. Wendy was an up and coming alpha.

Wendy loved puppies, every puppy introduced to the pack got a huge welcome and inspected head to toe. Wendy did have a litter of three little angles, sadly all

still born. Necropsy could not find the cause of their deaths. Wendy was the

most traumatized following me everywhere through the house whining and crying

for her puppies an agonizing two weeks.

Sadly and suddenly, Wendy was diagnosed with advanced Cardiomyopathy.

Medication wasn't working and Wendy was suffering. With heavy hearts Wendy

is now in heaven playing and caring for her puppies. We miss our butterfly we

called Wendy.

CH Kellcastle chocolate Ribbon ~n~ CH Kellcastle Pink Champagne JC

Breeders: Jonette Jones/ Donna Yeldell-Jackson

December 9, 2003 - January 15, 2015

Call name: Charm

Cause of death: Degenerative Myelopathy and Osteosarchoma after a terrible

fall loss of mobility

Charm was an escape artist and the most destructive puppy growing up.

Charm was high energy.

Charm was born to run and when there was time and Lure Coursing available I

would let her course. I had to always park strategically and not park near the field.

Charm would tear up the van trying to get out! I loved this about her!

Leave her in a parked van for half second, come back she climbs over the barrier

and seats and is curled up in the driver's seat.

Charm has chewed up two sofas and broken out a window in the dead of winter.

Jumped and climbed over fences and snagged the discarded bones of a Turkey,

thrown out by the neighbors after Thanksgiving.

At 5 + years Charm was the teachers pet at obedience class and graduates top of

her class.

One thing that could never be tamed was her spirit! Despite the many hazards and

thrills Charm brought to our lives. She made up for it with her charming personality.

Charm was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy around 6 years in age. She

was 10 years old when diagnosed with bone cancer. Late onset and with a much

slower metabolism it kept the cancer from spreading. A fall in a heavy snow on

ice was an injury she was unable to recover from.

We miss our Unbreakable Charm and her whirlwind love for life and endearing personality. We were blessed and fortunate to have her in our lives for just over

11 years! Tear up the clouds in heaven and make them Roar!

Trampas Gatewy Sonoma

Gatewy Errant Boru ~n~ Trampas Becca

Breeders: Louann Ellis/ Marilyn Shahan

January 31, 2007 - March 24, 2012

Call name: Sonoma

Cause of death: Renal failure 11 days after being struck by a vehicle.

Sonoma was a beautiful wheaten with the most beautiful eyes with tons of coal black pigment to frame her eyes. She was my glamour girl, like a human model she had the look for all her moods. We discovered while planning a litter with her that she had Grade 3

Degenerative Elbow Dysplasia. So all plans for a litter were canceled. Then in February 2011 Sonoma just lost her legs like air had been let out rapidly. She would shortly get back up but terrified as did we. took her to the vet, during exam vet turned her head and lifted up on her chin. Sonoma fell to the ground violently screaming with pain. She lost all mobility. Just at that time a heavy snows storm closed all roads. # days we waited to get her to be seen by a specialist. She had ruptured a vertebrae. It was a long recovery and at just over a year post surgery. Our front door was mysteriously open. Sonoma was struck by a vehicle March 12,2012 had to have her spleen removed 2 days later. Then her condition deteriorated rapidly we admitted her to a hospital were Sonoma went into Renal Failure. She left in a kind strangers arms as I raced to be at her side. She never complained, a soft endearing soul. This tragic loss will always be the most painful to my heart.

Gatewy Errant Boru ~n~ CH Trampas Treasure

Breeders: Louann Ellis/ Marilyn Shahan

February 1, 2006 - July 15, 2009

Call name: Lacy

Cause of death: GVD Torsion resulting in heart failure

What a joy to the heart and soul! Beautiful and substantial red wheaten. Lacy finished

her Championship easily. When plans were made to have a litter she failed one of her health screenings. Lacy had mild hip dysplasia in her left hip in March of 2009. We were very disappointed. In July Lacy showed symptoms of having GVD (Torsion and stomach twist) We rushed her to the Emergency Hospital Lacy walking in under her own

power wagging her tail when the tech walked her through doors to surgery. I still remember her face as she looked back at me so trusting. Lacy didn't survive the surgery. Her condition was much worse than expected. Her stomach and all her intestines were lodged firmly under her ribcage. We were warned that untangling the intestines and stomach may cause her to go into septic shock. The veterinarians did all they could. Her heart stopped three times. We made the decision to let her go.

Sweet trusting comical soul lost forever. Our hearts will be forever shattered. We miss her love for life always happy and full of energy.

CH Mt Carmel's Jasmine

Cove Creeks Hannibal II ~n~ CH Trampas Windfern Cove Crk Cu

Breeders: Patricia Falvey-Looper

June 23, 2000 - June 15, 2008

Call name: Jazz

Cause of death: Bacteria Pneumonia, 4 years after GVD and Spleen removed

Jasmine was our second puppy from this breeder and from an oops litter.

We asked for the smallest of the females. Around 9 months in age we took

Jazz to see her breeder. It was then that her breeder strongly urged us to

show Jazz. Despite my very green start and nervousness Jazz finished her

championship in a quick 9 months.

Jazz was the first to present us with a litter bearing the prefix of Mt Carmel.

10 days after whelping her litter she torsioned resulting in her spleen being

removed. As well as a recovery without her puppies. Puppies were bottle fed

So they were not exposed to the powerful medication Jazz was on.

Days before her 8th birthday Jazz got incredibly sick quickly and died.

Necropsy discovered she had circum to Bacterial Pneumonia. Without a spleen

Jazz had a compromised immune system

Miss diagnosed we lost so much and learned a great deal. Loss of this beautiful life will never get easier to accept. Your children now gone to join you in heaven, nothing

remains but our beloved memories of you. Miss you everyday!
